Sunday Morning, Devon Prep entered two quads in the PCL Rowing Championship’s Varsity Quad Event.

The Varsity Quad of Ryan Lewis (C), Austin Thomas, Matt Cuff and Julian Esposito (C) got out to a slim lead over rival Roman Catholic off the start.

They continued to open the lead throughout the race ending with an open water victory to take our first PCL Rowing title.

The varsity has struggled to keep pace with Roman in our regular league racing the past 2 weeks, but have rebounded with a re-tooled start and stronger body of the race.

Devon’s second crew was a mix of the Varsity Double of Nishan and Haig Shamlian and the Novice Quad with Cole Jones and Jack McGuinn.

They had a solid race hanging with our Varsity and Roman for the first half of the race having only rowed this lineup once or twice.
