Daily Local News Selects Four Devon Prep Lacrosse Members
Devon, PA| Devon Prep Tides Lacrosse Team Received Four Daily Local Mail All-Team Selections.Adding to his record-breaking season, Declan Sullivan was selected to the First Team for his efforts at attack this season. Leading the Tide with 55 goals this season, he finished his career with the career goal and points records at Devon Prep.The Tide also received three honorable mentions, including Senior defender Owen Raymond, Junior Midfielder Deji Abodunde, and Sophomore attack Manny Strid. Devon Prep Shines as the PCL Earns Their Fourth Carpenters Cup Title
Philadelphia, PA| John Doogan, Joseph Gabriel, Christian Leckman, and Ryan Wheeler represented Devon Prep and the PCL in the Carpenters Cup over the past two weeks. During the first game, John Doogan came out of relief for the PCL, providing two shutout innings, striking out three batters. Ryan Wheeler also contributed to the team's first win with a pinch-hit single. In the second game, Doogan did his thing, providing another two scoreless innings for the PCL. Wheeler got the start in this game, going 1-3 at the plate as the Tide helped the PCL earn its spot in the Championship game. Doogan closed out the Championship game for the CPL as they hoisted the Carpenters Cup Title, defeating Delco in a 5-0 shutout. Congratulations to the PCL on their fourth Carpenters Cup victory in their 40-year history.

Devon Prep Lacrosse Falls to Penncrest in PIAA Tournament
Wallingford, PA| Devon Prep Lacrosse Traveled to Strath Haven High School, taking on Penncrest in the First Round of the PIAA Playoffs. Coach Consolo and the Tide took the turf at George L King Field, eyeing a first-round victory over the Lions. Devon Prep took on Penncrest earlier this season on the road, where they were defeated 3-11, but were missing some key players. The defense shone early, holding the Lions' offense and keeping the game close into the third quarter. A goal from Manny Strid coming out of the half to bring Devon back within striking distance (3-8). Their efforts were not enough as Penncrest rallied to defeat the Tide 4-17. Devon Prep was led by Senior Declan Sullivan, playing his last game for the Tide. Manny Strid also had two goals in the contest. Devon Prep Athletics will be back in action in the fall.Roll Tide!

Devon Prep Congratulates Four Players on Carpenter Cup Selections
Max Doogan, Joe Gabriele, Christian Lechman, and Ryan Wheeler will represent Devon Prep and the Philadelphia Catholic League in the 2026 Carpenter Cup. Competing against fifteen other regions best for the holder of the Cup at Citizens Bank Park. In the fortieth year of the Carpenter Cup, the Philadelphia Catholic League eyes its fourth victory and first since 2005. Devon Prep wishes all competitors and coaches the best of luck in the 2026 Carpenter's Cup. Roll tide!

Lacrosse Falls in District XII Championship
Springfield, PA| Devon Prep Lacrosse traveled to Cardinal O'Hara, taking on the Lions for the title of PIAA District XII Champion. Defense was the name of the game early; the Tide did not score in the first but held the Lions to only two goals through the first. Manny Strid scored two goals back-to-back to tie the game for Devon Prep with three minutes remaining in the second quarter. Deji Abodunde scored with twenty seconds remaining in the half to give the Tide their first lead of the game. Cardinal O'Hara would tie the game before half, 3-3. Devon Prep's offense was able to find shots in the second half, but they did not find the back of the net. The Lions scored seven unanswered to secure the District XII title over Devon Prep.The Tide will be back on Tuesday for the PIAA, taking on Penn Crest on their home turf. Roll Tide!

Track and Field Finishes Season at PIAA Championships
Shippensburg, PA| Devon Prep Tack and Field Traveled to Shippensburg, competing against the qualifiers of the PIAA Districts. The 4x800 Meter team set a new personal best, cutting eight seconds off of their best time this year. Winning District XII in the Javelin, Logan Dunkle took twenty-first place with a throw of 132-4. Evan Young came in twenty-third with a throw of 112-1.Wrapping up their season, we are extremely proud of the Tide and all of their personal accomplishments. Roll Tide!

Hershey, PA| Devon Prep Doubles Traveled to Hershey Racquet Club for the PIAA Doubles Tournament. Winning the District XII doubles tournament for the second year in a row. Gustav Najdek and Darian Williams competed in the PIAA doubles tournament representing District XII and Devon Prep. Competing against the best in Pennsylvania, the boys fell late Friday night in the quarterfinals. Darian and Gustav will return next season to improve upon their recent success. Roll Tide.

Middle School Baseball Moves on in CYO Playoffs
Devon, PA| Devon Prep Middle School Baseball welcomed Sacred Heart to the Home Turf for the First Round of the CYO Playoffs. The Tide is rising in the middle school CYO Playoffs!John Malloy pitched five innings, striking out six batters, helping lead the tide to their 12-2 victory over Sacred Heart. They move on to the second round of the CYO Playoffs on Friday.Roll Tide!

Track & Field Impresses in District XII State Tournament
Philadelphia, PA| Track and Field Competed in the PIAA District XII Championship meet at Northeast High School. Taking on District Twelve, Devon Prep impressed throughout the day. Logan Dunkle won District XII in Javelin with a throw of 136-09. Evan Young also qualified for the state tournament with his second-place finish in the Javelin.The 4x800 team will advance to states with a time of 8:41.98!Prasad Nunez and AJ Adams also set personal bests!Devon Prep Track and Field will be back on Thursday, May 22nd, for the PIAA state tournament!Full Results Here.

Lacrosse Runs into La Salle in PCL Semifinals
Wyndmoor, PA| Devon Prep Lacrosse traveled to La Salle College High School, taking on the Explorers in the PCL Semifinals. On a one-hundred-degree afternoon, the Tide faced off versus the Explorers for a spot in the PCL Finals. Declan Sullivan scored the first goal for the Tide, splitting defenders to bounce one in the bottom corner. The second goal came from a great swim move, giving him an open shot on goal. Ayodeji Abodunde ripped in the Tides finals goal of the day, but their efforts were not enough. Devon Prep fell to La Salle in the PCL Semifinals 3-18.The season is not over for the Tide, as they will be back in action at Cardinal O'Hara on May 27th for the PIAA Playoffs.Roll Tide.

Crew Competes in the Historic Stotesbury Cup Regatta
Over the weekend, the crew competed in the largest scholastic regatta in the world. The freshman 8+ kicked off the Stotesbury Cup Regatta on Friday, barely missing qualifying for the semifinals. The Junior 2x followed but also missed the cut for semis by a short time. The lightweight 2x qualified for the semifinals at 5:45 on Friday and performed strongly, but they just missed out on the final race. The Senior 2x had a strong showing, but did not qualify for the final race. The Junior quad qualified on Friday and moved to Saturday’s morning race, where they had a strong showing in the semis. The Senior quad had the best time of the day on Friday. Qualifying them for Saturday morning’s semifinals. We are extremely proud of our crew and their strong showing at Stotes!
