Crew

On yet another Sunday of challenging weather conditions, three Devon crews battled freezing temperatures and a strong quartering tailwind to again make great progress toward their goals. The Novice Quad (J. McGuinn ‘24, C. Jones ‘23, L. Lelli ‘24, M. Norton ‘25) faced only two of their competitors from last week. The result was about equal. That being said, they came off the water happy with their performance and ready to chase down Haverford and Conestoga.  The Varsity Double (H. Shamlian ‘23, N. Shamlian ‘25) went significantly faster in a deep field of 18 boats finishing with the 13th fastest time.  The Varsity Quad again proved they firmly belong among the top quads in this region.  Holding onto contact with Haverford through 1000m, they executed their plan perfectly, finishing 6th fastest of 11, top 6 separated by 11 seconds.
