Ryan Wheeler ‘28 and Shawn Wheeler ‘27 took a charge each. The bench was enthusiastic from start to finish. The whole team did a great job with communicating. The event also had a skills competition. Hunter Mishock won the “plunger challenge” of the skills competition and won a free training session.

The Freshman Basketball team played WC Henderson and won 57-55 in OT. The Tide offense got things going early but some defensive miscommunication allowed for West Chester Henderson to cut into the lead. The Tide attacked the paint with Eric White Jr. ‘26 and Jayden Allan Bates ‘26 scoring the first few points. Braeden Fisher ‘26 did his work in the paint, while Liam Jung ‘26 and Owen Raymond ‘26 did their work from beyond the arc where they hit two of their five attempts from beyond the arc. The Tide and Henderson had both offenses going as they needed extra time to decide the game in overtime. With 6 seconds left and the game tied up, Braeden Fisher ‘26 showed why he is cooler than the other side of the pillow. Nailing two free throws in the clutch moment allowed Devon to improve their record to 8-0 for the year with a 56-54 victory. The JV Basketball team played in the Octorara Tournament and ost against Coatesville 48-39 and won against Lancaster Mennonite 55-26. The JV team split their two games on 12/26 losing to Coatesville in game one and beating Lancaster Mennonite in game two. Ayinde McLendon ‘25 was the standout player of the day creating chances for himself and others offensively while providing toughness and energy on the defensive end with steals, rebounds and box outs.
